Powersale 2008 (Updated)
For the entire August there will be a sale at all Powerbooks branches. Discounts will be from 20% to 70%. More details here.
With all the past sales, and then this latest one by Powerbooks, and then the coming Manila Book Fair, I'm beginning to wonder if there is some great conspiracy going on aimed at siphoning off all our cash!
Update: Whoah! More book sale news. Just got an email that National Bookstore will also be having a one month sale, their yearly Cut-Price book sale, from August 28, 2008 to September 28, 2008. There. More ways to dispose of your income.

Actually Kyu, July/August has always been book sale season (check my previous blog entries) and I suspect it's due to the annual book fair (sales always happen one month - same month as the book fair).

I know that every year around this time is book sale season, but for some reason 2008 feels like there're a lot of them! From A Different Bookstore (which you announced) to Fully Booked to Powerbooks, to the Manila Book Fair, to National Bookstore. It's dizzying this year!
Or maybe I'm just getting old. :P
The usual suspects all go on sale on July/Aug. =)
