Fifty-Two Stories

Most PGS blog visitors are readers, and I don't need to tell most of you to get into the habit of reading; chances are, you're already hooked. But maybe you guys can help me spread the joys of reading to others too, especially to younger people. Here's a site, Fifty-Two Stories With Cal Morgan, that presents a short story for every week of the year. From their site:

...we have a special fondness for the short story—self-contained, crystalline, newborn, perfect. This year we're celebrating the thriving art of the story by sharing a new one every week: most of them new, a few of them classics, from authors you know and some you don't, each of them treasurable in its language or wit or human insight. And we'd love to have you join us! Watch this space and enjoy.

A short story a week! For those of you who don't habitually read, I'm sure you can manage at least a short story a week, and then once you discover the joys of it, maybe go up from there. As for those of you who already do read a lot, it's an added fifteen to twenty minutes of pleasure. :)
