More On The Local Spec Fic Discussion (Updated)

The comments at the links mentioned here and here have lengthened somewhat. They go deeper into what theories can be used for local spec. fic., and bring up too writers' attitudes to spec. fic. pre- and post-2005. They also bring other publications that print fiction into the discussion. Head on over, maybe learn something, then return to where you are to continue reading and writing.

Update: Here's another post on the topic, from Mitch. Thanks to The Bibliophile Stalker for the link.

Hi, anonymous. Yeah, feels that way sometimes. It may be a better thing to go back to our books and read. But if people feel the need to express their thoughts, and then others learn something from it, then there's some value to it.

no it's not, as debating about how many angels can dance on a pinhead is pointless while debating about how people read and write what they read and write is not because, as kenneth yu said in his reply, people learn things from these debates. so, no.
