The Brave Garapata
The Garapata Can Speak. He is also very brave. Certainly braver than I am.
He has joined Nanowrimo 2009, and has decided to do so publicly. In fact, he has put up his work, "Surviving Manila: Risen Threat", over on his blog for all to read, and to comment on. He welcomes all feedback and remarks as he works on his story about zombies taking over Manila.
Please head on over and give his story a read, and leave feedback for him as he tries to wend his way through Nanowrimo.
Hey, Garapata, you're pretty strong-willed. You're dealing with three levels of horror here. The first one is clear: your story is about zombies. The second one can scare any writer's socks off: you're working on a novel. A novel! Yikes! The third level is the worst: you're working on a novel that needs to be completed in a month!
I salute you, sir!
I think the Garapata will make this challenge, folks, and set an example for discipline and putting aside a regular schedule for writing. I can't remember whether I heard it or read it, but I kind of remember this quote: "The only way to write...is to write." The Garapata has laid his cards on the table and will show us that throughout November.
