Crossed Genres Call For Submissions: Eastern-themed issue
As seen on Rocket Kapre, Crossed Genres ezine has a call for submissions for an Eastern-themed issue:
...we’re looking for stories set in Eastern cultures. Anyone can submit, but the stories (and preferably the characters) will be set in the East.
...we’re looking for stories set in Eastern cultures. Anyone can submit, but the stories (and preferably the characters) will be set in the East.
Submissions for Issue 18 will be accepted until 11:59 pm US EST on March 31.
Submission guidelines here. An excerpt from their submissions page:
Short story submissions should be 1,000 to 8,000 words long, and must contain elements of both the current genre and Science Fiction and/or Fantasy.
What are we looking for? There is no hard-and-fast rule; any story that follows the above guidelines will be considered. We tend to favor character-driven stories, but that doesn’t mean we won’t appreciate a strong action piece. Make your characters fascinating and your plot engaging.
We're in a perfect place for a story set in an Eastern culture, eh? Good luck to all who are submitting!
